  • What is Science GO?

    Science GO is a site that lets you watch live streams and full episodes from the Science Channel in HD on the web, your smartphone or tablet. For the best viewing experience on your mobile devices, download on the App Store or on Google Play.

  • What content is included?

    You can watch current episodes from Science Channel.

    Additionally, the app and website include a live stream, so you can watch live TV whenever and wherever you want. .

  • Do I have to sign-in or subscribe to a package from a TV provider to watch full episodes?

    For most episodes, yes. But a selection of episodes is available without signing in. We frequently update what episodes we offer without signing in, so check back if your favorite series isn't included right now.

  • Who is my TV Provider?

    Your TV provider is the cable, satellite or telecommunications company that you pay a monthly subscription fee to in order to receive Discovery's television networks.

  • How quickly does a new episode get added to Science GO after it airs on TV?

    More often than not, new episodes will be available the morning (East Coast time) after they air.

  • How long are episodes available in Science GO?

    When something is 28 days away from expiring we will let you know by adding an expiration date to the episode.

  • What devices can I use to watch Science GO?

    The Science GO app is available for iOS and Android and will work with most iOS and smart phones and tablets; you also can watch on your computer at ScienceChannelGO.com.

  • Is closed captioning available on Science GO?

USING THE APP

ACCESSING LOCKED CONTENT

  • Why does it say that my subscription doesn't allow me access to locked videos or networks?

    Science GO can only offer you full access to networks that are part of your existing cable, satellite or telecommunications TV package. If you do not subscribe to a package that includes a network, or your provider does not offer a network, you will not be able to watch it through Science GO.

    If you want access to those episodes and channels, or you believe that you have been blocked from that content by mistake, please contact your TV provider.

  • Why are some shows on the live stream blacked out?

    Due to rights restrictions, not all shows are available on all devices.

  • Can I access Science GO while outside of the U.S.?

    At this time, Science GO is only available on U.S. domestic Internet services.

DEVICES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • What mobile devices are the most compatible with Science GO?

    Science GO is optimized for iPhone 5 and above, iPad 3 and above, Samsung Galaxy S4 and above and Samsung Galaxy tablets. Science GO is compatible with devices that support iOS 7 and above and Android 4.1.x and above. The more up-to-date your operating system and the newer your device, the better the Science GO experience will be.

  • What are the requirements for watching on my computer?

    In order to watch Science GO on your laptop or desktop, please be sure you're using the latest browser versions: Chrome v43; Firefox v38; Safari v7+; Internet Explorer v11+.

  • How do I use Science GO on my Apple TV (4th generation)?

    Science GO for Apple TV is only available on the latest model released in 2015.

    1. Install and open the Science GO app on your Apple TV and click Settings in the top navigation then Sign In.
    2. You will see an activation code.
    3. Go to ScienceChannelGO.com/activiate from your computer or mobile device. Pick your TV provider and sign in.
    4. After signing in you will be prompted to enter the activation code on your TV screen. The activation code is case sensitive.
    5. Success! After a few seconds you will return to the previous screen, signed in, and ready to watch!

TECHNICAL ISSUES

  • My app won't load or quits unexpectedly.

    We know that is frustrating; however, most commonly this problem can be solved by deleting the app and reinstalling it.

  • Can I watch videos when I am not connected to the Internet?

    No, sorry, you must be connected to the Internet to enjoy Science GO.

  • Can I watch over a cellular connections?

    You will have the best experience watching via a wireless connection, but Science GO will work on cellular services. You just need to enable Science GO for cellular service, which you can do in the Science GO Settings menu.

  • The video keeps freezing or is slow to load, I see something that looks like a pinwheel, the audio plays but the screen is black, or the display looks fuzzy.

    Are you trying to watch over your cell service? The Science GO app will work on 3G and 4G cellular services, but you will have a much better experience if you're connected to a wireless network.

  • I'm connected to a wireless network and I still have issues

    Science GO uses adaptive bitrate streaming, which means that the quality of the video you are watching is based on the speed of your Internet service and how close you are to your wireless router.

  • I see a message "Please enable internet plug-ins in Safari settings." when I play live stream

    Please go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced tab, and uncheck the checkbox setting labeled "Internet plug-ins: Stop plug-ins to save power"
